April Brews Day started in 2001 when Max Higbee Center had a need for funding, a partnership with Boundary Bay Brewery, and a wild idea to create Bellingham’s first beer festival. Max Higbee Center is a grassroots organization founded by educators and families of people with developmental disabilities who wanted quality recreation opportunities in Whatcom County.

We don’t have specific tickets for non-drinkers. It would be impossible for us to monitor and enforce that folks who bought non-drinking tickets are, in fact, not drinking. We love to hear folks thinking ahead about safe traveling! Thank you! The tickets still get you access to all the food, including some non-alcoholic options, plus all the fantastic entertainment we have lined up this year. Your tasting tickets can be used for food as well! And of course, proceeds go to the Max Higbee Center. Thank you for supporting the cause, we hope to see you there!
